Hessle Gala & Humber Platinum Jubilee Flotilla 2 June 2022

We expect the area around Hessle foreshore to be extremely busy and you will NOT be able to park close by including Livingstone Rd, Redcliff Rd, Station Rd, Heads Lane. Traffic Officers will be able to issue fixed penalties!

Please use only designated car parks and consider walking and public transport. We ask all visitors to be respectful of residents parking and not to block drives and entrances.


A special FREE park and ride service will operate at:

Frequent times between Priory Park, Hull and Hessle Rugby Club (For Hessle Foreshore) between 17.00 and 22.30 (Last departure). Service operated by East Yorkshire Buses, low floor, wheelchair accessible bus.

Free. Please note Park and Ride gates will be locked absolute at 22.45.

Toilet facilities will be available.


Hessle train station is ideally situated a short walk to the foreshore. Northern Rail provide regular train services in to the evening from the station to Hull, Ferriby, Brough and beyond.

East Yorkshire Buses operate regular services to Hessle.

Please note:

Buses will be running to a Sunday service. The nearest stop is Hessle Square (About a 15 minute walk to the foreshore). Service 57 operates hourly (In each direction) from East Hull, City Centre and Hessle. Last service back to East Hull from Hessle Square is 22.51. Service 66 operates hourly (In each direction) between Hessle Square and Hull Interchange via Anlaby Rd. Please note last service from Hessle Square is 22.19.

Stagecoach – There will be no Service 250 and Service 350 will run to a Sunday timetable (Please note last departure from Humber Bridge is

19.43). Service 255 will provide limited service between Hull City Centre, Humber Bridge and Barton Market Place. Last journey from Hull Interchange to Barton is 22.35. Please check before you travel.

we would encourage people to car share to reduce the number of vehicles arriving for the event. Visitors should satisfy themselves this appropriate safeguards are in place following the Covid  epidemic.


Visitors should use public transport if possible.

 Both East Yorkshire and Stagecoach will operate a Sunday service.

National rail services will generally operate a normal weekday timetable. Osborne St Multi-story car park is open 24 hours and is a short walk to Hull Marina. Visitors can also use Princes Quay and Fruit Market Multi-story car parks which are a very short walk to Hull Marina.

Normal charges apply in all car parks.


Please be aware in line with normal operating procedure of the Humber Bridge will close to pedestrians at 21.00 on 2 June.


Emergency car parks are located at the Humber Bridge Lorry Park on Ferriby High Road, Hessle High School Heads Lance Hessle, and existing parking is available in Swinegate Car Park Hessle and of course the Park and Ride Priory Park.
